Nightfall Expedition to Abandoned WWII Marsiling Bunkers

Do you fancy yourself a daredevil adventurer? Maybe you’ve been looking at our day tours… and longing for something that packs even more of a punch? Are you thirsty for adrenaline rushes, fun-loving new friends and exciting night-time thrills to make your skin crawl?

If so, then bravest of BE adventurers, we have a treat for you...

Join us for an eerie nightfall expedition to the Abandoned WWII Marsiling Bunkers! In this special edition (exclusively on Friday and Saturday nights!), you’ll explore hidden WWII structures deep in the jungle at dusk.

In the shadows of the Marsiling Bunkers, you’ll encounter: sprawling underground tunnels leftover from British rule, nocturnal giant geckos, calf-high mud and, for the (un)lucky few, unexpected “visitors”…. This is Singapore at its wildest, strangest and creepiest, a side you’ve never experienced before.

The Marsiling Bunkers were originally part of a Royal Air Force fuel reserve depot built in 1942. During WWII, the tunnels were occupied and modified by the Japanese.

Long abandoned, it’s tranquil and peaceful – home to giant geckos, centipedes, spiders and other creepy crawlies by day.

As night falls, however, other inhabitants arise. The beloved hideout of long-dead WWII soldiers, secret society gangsters and even terrorists, the bunker after sunset is said to be one of the most “visited” abandoned sites in Singapore.

We’ll trek through a secluded forest at dusk to find the entrance to the abandoned bunkers (North and South).

The jungle can be hostile after hours, but follow your guide faithfully by the light of your headtorch and you’ll find yourself in a clearing of oddly spiky plants.

Distracted by the fading light glinting off their spines, it takes a while before you see the hole in the ground. It’s the yawning dark mouth of the bunker gaping at you, beckoning you to enter.

Ignoring your screaming instincts, you hurriedly follow the rest inside.

The air inside the bunkers is cool on your skin. It’s completely dark. The sound of dripping water echoes through the cavernous space.

A sinister flight of stairs awaits to bring you further into the bunker’s inky depths. At the bottom is a long tunnel with huge rusted pipes running along it, leading to more rooms. Who knows what, or who, lives there now?

Inching forward cautiously, you see, by the light of your headtorch, remnants of shoes and soles floating ominously in the cold, calf-high mud.

What happened to all those adventurers?
