At Beyond Expeditions, we strive to give our participants the best experience possible while respecting the culture of the countries we travel to. However, there may be unforeseen circumstances that arise and create a different experience for you during your expedition; 

  1. Extreme natural events, such as droughts, floods, sandstorms, snowstorms

  2. Nomad/shepherd migrations differing from their typical schedule

  3. Culture-specific practices where privacy is mandatory

  4. Political issues that cause tension between country’s government, citizens, owners or landlords

During your trip with us, please keep in mind that unexpected situations may arise that could cause changes in plans, such as delays or alterations to the itinerary. While we strive to provide a well-planned trip, we also highly encourage our travelers to remain adaptable and flexible in order to fully enjoy the adventure. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in making the most of your experience with us. 

We will always do our best to ensure that you get the fullest experience, and we also seek your understanding that the culture of the country takes precedence. In the event that your experience differs from what's shown on the itinerary due to the aforementioned reasons, we regret to inform you that no refund will be provided and seek your understanding on this.

Trip Terms & Conditions

Upon payment of 50% non-refundable deposit, you will secure a spot for your selected expedition.

The total price for respective trips is stated in nett. The remaining 50% of the amount is to be paid 8 weeks before trip commencement.

    • Round-trip economy flights from Singapore to respective destination

    • Airport transfers

    • Accommodation for all nights

    • All-terrain expedition support vehicle, driver and petrol

    • English-speaking, experienced local expedition guide

    • All meals stated in itinerary and a bottle of water per day

    • All staff costs including their fees, insurance and equipment

    • All national park fees and government/local taxes

    • All activities stated

    No hidden fees / extra costs

    • Excess luggage and hand carry fees for flights

    • Additional incurred costs during layover

    • Personal travel insurance

Trip policy FAQ

  • Once you sign up with us, we’ll send you a confirmation email with payment details within 1 working day. You’ll then pay a 50% non-refundable deposit to secure a spot for your selected expedition.

    We’ll release details of confirmed trip dates at least three to six months before each trip. (Confirmation is subject to changes and will follow MFA’s travel advisory, as well as potential transit points.)

    When you see an expedition with confirmed trip dates you’d like to go for, let us know. You’ll then pay the remaining 50% to secure your spot in that particular expedition - at least 8 weeks before the trip.

    If you can’t make it for any of our confirmed trip dates, let us know and we’ll reschedule your trip to another, suitable date.

  • Yes you can, just let us know.

    But do note that we have prepaid expenses (such as booking of accommodations, and flights) which will be incurred when you initially confirm the dates. So if you intend to change your expedition to another season, you may have to top up any relevant expenses that have been incurred!

  • Cancellation charges will apply prior to the start date of the trip according to the following notice periods:

    a. 4 weeks' notice or more: 50% of expedition’s remaining payable

    b. Between 2 to 4 weeks: 60% of expedition’s remaining payable

    c. Between 1 to 2 weeks: 80% of expedition’s remaining payable

    d. 1 week or less: 100% of expedition’s remaining payable

    Please note that the 50% deposit is non-refundable, so cancellation charges are applied based on % of the remaining payable.

    Cancellation charges only apply if you plan on cancelling your entire trip. If you need to reschedule, let us know and we'll work it out together.

  • Each expedition group is usually capped at 5 - 9 participants maximum, in addition to your local expedition guide and driver. You can sign up with your friends, or come solo and meet like-minded travelers! We'll organise a get-together online briefing session for the group a few weeks before the trip so don't worry. Many lifelong friendships have been formed on our expeditions.

  • Participants are not required to be physically fit but it would be highly encouraged for participants to maintain a general level of fitness before the expedition.

To ensure a meaningful and harmonious travelling experience, we kindly advise you to consider some valuable customs and etiquette tips specific to each country. These will be attached at the end of each destination’s travel itinerary article, so do take a look before entering each trip with us!
