safeguarding
Safeguarding involves comprehensive protocols designed to shield students from harm, abuse, and neglect. To uphold these standards, every trainer we employ undergoes extensive mandatory safeguarding and background checks before their engagement begins. Additionally, we conduct a biannual in-house safeguarding course to ensure all team members remain vigilant and updated on the best practices. This rigorous process ensures that our team members are not only proficient and reliable but also highly professional, creating a secure environment where students can safely engage in both learning and adventurous activities.
FIRST AID
Our trainers are certified in basic first aid and AED, equipping them to effectively respond to any incidents that may occur during our programs. As our adventures grow, we are committed to enhancing our safety protocols. Our core team are provided with wilderness first aid training, ensuring they are prepared to handle the unique challenges of outdoor environments.
QUALIFICATIONS
At Beyond Expeditions, our team's proficiency is bolstered by the extensive experiences and qualifications of our core members. Most have led hiking and survival expeditions across some of the most remote locations on the planet since 2017, including Mongolia and Kyrgyzstan. They are adept at navigating harsh environments, operating under stressful conditions, and communicating effectively with participants to ensure the well-being, safety, and success of each expedition.
In addition to their practical experience, our team has completed the Expedition and Wilderness Medicine Course, hosted in Keswick, Lake District, UK, and offered by World Extreme Medicine, an organization founded in 2000. This extensive program equips them to handle medical emergencies in remote settings, covering trauma care, environmental medicine for extreme conditions, and essential crisis leadership skills. Furthermore, our team is trained in psychological first aid, adding an additional layer of support for managing emotional and psychological challenges during expeditions.
