Day 1: Antananarivo

The evening holds an exciting surprise for you; prepare to immerse yourself in the vibrant culinary traditions of Madagascar as our Malagasy team organizes a special cooking lesson for you. Under the guidance of skilled local chefs, you'll uncover the secrets behind some of Madagascar's most beloved dishes. From the aromatic Ravitoto, a tantalizing dish blending pork, cassava leaves, and coconut milk, to the zesty Akoho sy Voanio, featuring tender chicken simmered in a fragrant blend of ginger, garlic, and coconut cream, prepare to immerse yourself in the rich flavors and age-old techniques that have been passed down through generations.

Day 2: FLIGHT from TANA → DIEGO

A Whimsical Safari to Baobab and Amber Mountain National Park!

Your day begins with a transfer back to Ivato International Airport (IATA: TNR, ICAO: FMMI) at the crack of dawn, ensuring a seamless transition for your flight scheduled from 06:00 to 08:00. After a 2h flight, you’ll land in Arrachart Airport (IATA code: DIE, ICAO code: FMNA), where we’ll then get you on a 5km drive from the airport to the hotel to drop off your luggage, before taking a 5 minutes drive to the port to take a boat to witness the majestic beauty of the iconic Baobab Trees. 

Cruising through the crystal-clear waters aboard a boat, you'll have the opportunity to marvel at these ancient giants, standing as silent sentinels of time. Remember to don your sandals, as we'll be hopping on and off the boat to get up close and personal with these natural wonders.

After about two hours with the Baobab trees, next on our adventure is the renowned Amber Mountain National Park, located about 30km south of the city of Diego. A nature lover's paradise, this lush oasis boasts verdant forests, cascading waterfalls, and an abundance of biodiversity waiting to be explored.

Strap on your trekking boots as we embark on a journey through the heart of the park. Our trail winds through dense foliage, and along the way, we'll encounter two breathtaking waterfalls—one revered as sacred, and the other offering a refreshing oasis for leisurely swimming. Don't forget to pack your swimwear for this unforgettable experience!

After a day filled with adventure and discovery, we retreat to the comfort of Alamanda Hotel or a similar charming retreat nestled amidst nature's embrace. Here, amidst the tranquil surroundings, you'll have the opportunity to reflect on the day's adventures, savoring the memories created amidst Madagascar's pristine wilderness.

Day 3: THE EMERALD SEA

A Splashy Sojourn to the Emerald Sea!

After a hearty breakfast at Alamanda Hotel, you’ll set off on a picturesque drive to Ramena, a quaint coastal village nestled along Madagascar's northern shores.

Upon arrival in Ramena, we board a slow boat that gently glides across the tranquil waters, offering panoramic views of the coastal splendor surrounding us. Our voyage leads us to the Emerald Sea, where the waters shimmer like precious gems beneath the sun's radiant embrace. Dive into the azure depths and explore a world teeming with life as you snorkel amidst colorful coral reefs and exotic marine creatures. Whether you're a seasoned snorkeler or a first-time adventurer, the wonders that await beneath the surface are sure to leave you spellbound.

After an exhilarating underwater adventure, we gather for a sumptuous lunch before bidding farewell to the Emerald Sea and beginning our journey back to Ramena. By mid-afternoon, we arrive back at Ramena, where we’ll take you directly to your hotel for you to have your own free time till dinner is served in the evening.

Day 4: From Red Tsingy to Ambilobe, A Triple Bay Hopping Bonanza!

Our day begins with a thrilling excursion to the Three Bays, each offering its unique charm and allure. Today’s itinerary involves a fair bit of trekking, so we would strongly recommend you pack the following items for your day out:

  • Backpack: A comfortable and durable backpack to carry all your gear.

  • Water: Sufficient water to stay hydrated throughout the trek. Consider a hydration bladder or water bottles.

  • Footwear: Sturdy, comfortable hiking boots or shoes with good traction and ankle support.

  • Sun Protection: Sunglasses, sunscreen, and a hat to shield yourself from the sun's harmful rays.

  • Trekking Poles: Optional but helpful for stability and reducing strain on your joints!


Our first stop takes us to the enchanting Sakalava Bay. Sakalava Bay captivates with its pristine shores where azure waters meet the golden sands, offering tranquility and serenity amidst Madagascar's coastal wonders. Its unspoiled beauty and inviting atmosphere make it a haven for relaxation and rejuvenation, inviting travelers to immerse themselves in its idyllic charm.

Next, we venture to the magnificent Dune Bay, where towering sand formations rise majestically against the backdrop of the endless horizon. Here, you'll have the opportunity to stroll along the sun-kissed shores, feeling the soft sand beneath your feet and the salty breeze in your hair.

Our final destination is the serene Pigeons Bay, where the tranquil waters beckon you to dive in and explore the wonders beneath the surface. Slip into your swimwear and slippers as you revel in the beauty of Madagascar's underwater paradise, spending a blissful 20 minutes soaking up the splendor of this coastal gem.

After a morning filled with exploration and discovery, we pause for a leisurely lunch at Ramena Beach, indulging in the flavors of local cuisine against the backdrop of breathtaking ocean views. Our journey then continues as we set forth towards the legendary Red Tsingy. A marvel of nature, these striking formations stand as a testament to the island's unique geology, their vibrant hues casting an otherworldly glow against the surrounding landscape. We’ll spend about an hour exploring this natural wonder, before making our way to Ambilobe by late afternoon. You’ll then have your own time to do whatever you want till the evening, when dinner will be served at your hotel stay for the night.

Day 5: Ankarana Reserve 

A Jurassic Jaunt Through Madagascar's Natural Wonderland, Ankarana Reserve

  • A hike tailored to everyone's pace and preferences, with several trail options to choose from.

    • Ranging between 2 to 6 hours of trekking, there's a route suitable for every level of experience and energy. Our knowledgeable guides will lead you along the paths you prefer.

Indulge in a leisurely breakfast before embarking on a mesmerizing journey to the crown jewel of Ankarana Reserve—the awe-inspiring Tsingy formations.

For the upcoming hike, our guides strongly advise wearing trekking boots, as the terrain presents a medium level of difficulty and spans approximately 5 hours. These sturdy boots will provide stability and support, ensuring a comfortable and safe journey through the rugged landscapes of Ankarana Reserve.

The Tsingy formations are intricate limestone pinnacles, sculpted over millions of years by erosion, creating a stunning landscape of razor-sharp peaks and deep fissures. These geological wonders are renowned for their unique beauty and serve as a testament to the forces of nature at work in Madagascar's rugged terrain.

We will also explore labyrinthine caves adorned with spectacular stalactites and stalagmites, each chamber revealing the secrets of Madagascar's ancient past.

After the exhilarating exploration, return to the hotel for a well-deserved lunch, before getting an afternoon that’s yours to explore at leisure, indulge in relaxation, or venture out to discover the charms of Ankarana at your own pace.

As the sun sets on another day of adventure, gather for a delightful dinner at the hotel,  before retiring to the comfort of your accommodations, where the whispers of the forest lull you into a restful slumber, eagerly awaiting the adventures that await in the days ahead.

Day 6: ANKARANA → ANKIFY → NOSY BE

After fueling up with a delicious breakfast to kickstart the day, our journey begins with a scenic 3.5-hour drive from Akarana to Ankify, where the port of Nosy-be eagerly awaits our arrival. Here, we'll embark on a thrilling 25-minute private speedboat ride to Nosy-be, where the azure waters beckon and adventure awaits.

Upon reaching Nosy-be, we'll settle in for a delightful lunch in town, savoring the flavors of the island and soaking in the laid-back atmosphere. Following our meal, a short 30-minute drive will take us to your hotel, where you can check in your luggage and unwind in the comfort of your accommodations.

With the formalities taken care of, the remainder of the day is yours to enjoy at your leisure! Whether you choose to bask in the sun on the pristine beaches, explore the vibrant markets, or simply relax and recharge, the options are endless. So go ahead, indulge in some well-deserved relaxation or set off on your own adventure – the choice is yours to make!

Day 7: Nosy Be → Nosy Komba → Nosy Tanikely

An Island-Hopping Extravaganza in Madagascar's Archipelago, from Nosy Be to Nosy Komba to Nosy Tanikely!

  • a 15-minute speedboat ride (NOSY-BE TO NOSY KOMBA)

After breakfast, hop on a speedboat to Nosy Komba, a mere 25-minute ride away. Nosy Komba, dubbed "The Lemur Island," captivates with its lush landscapes and vibrant wildlife, including lemurs from the Macaco Lemur family who eagerly interact with visitors. Spend 2 hours getting up close and personal with lemurs, who love munching treats from visitors' hands, and spot some friendly turtles.

Next stop: Nosy Tanikely! 

Nosy Tanikely, a marine marvel near Nosy Be, invites adventure seekers on a vibrant journey. Dive into its exceptional marine reserve, boasting a spectacular coral reef teeming with colorful fish, sea turtles, rays, dolphins, and gentle sharks. With snorkeling and a leisurely lunch, this aquatic paradise promises an unforgettable experience in just 2 to 3 hours before returning to Nosy Be by 3 pm. 

You’ll spend the night at the same hotel, resting and getting ready for more adventures tomorrow!

Day 8: NOSY BE → NOSY IRANJA

Embark on a delightful day starting with breakfast, followed by a scenic speedboat mini cruise to the authentic paradise of Nosy Iranja. A jewel known as "the island of turtles," it promises a day etched in your fondest memories.

What makes Nosy Iranja truly special are its two stunning islets connected by a breathtaking sandbar stretching approximately 1 kilometer. As you stroll along this natural bridge, you're greeted by the gentle caress of the ocean breeze and the mesmerizing hues of the surrounding sea—a sight that truly feels like Heaven on Earth.

Beyond its natural splendor, Nosy Iranja also offers cultural experiences, including traditional dancing shows that provide insight into the rich heritage of the island's inhabitants. 

We’ll have lunch at Nosy Iranja before making our way back to the hotel by 3pm. Your day then ends with dinner, before a restful night at the hotel as we prepare to embark on our 9th day here in North Madagascar!

Day 9: VISIT OF NOSY-BE SURROUNDING

Embark on a captivating journey by minibus to explore the charming surroundings of Nosy Be. Our first stop takes us through the old town village Indian, a historic enclave that offers a fascinating glimpse into the island's multicultural past as we pass by its quaint streets and colonial architecture.

Next, we venture into the enchanting realm of Lemuria Land, where you'll have a maximum of 2 hours to immerse yourself in its wonders. Explore lush botanical gardens teeming with exotic flora and fauna, and marvel at captivating displays that showcase the island's rich biodiversity and cultural heritage.

Continuing our adventure, we drive past the picturesque Ambatozavavy, a coastal gem known for its serene beaches and swaying palm trees. While we won't stop long, we'll pause to savor refreshing coconut drinks and soak in the tropical ambiance, a brief respite from our journey.

Our journey culminates at Mont Passport, a scenic vantage point offering panoramic views of the island and the Indian Ocean beyond. Here, we bear witness to the breathtaking sunset painting the sky in hues of orange and gold, a mesmerizing spectacle that serves as the perfect conclusion to our day of exploration.

Lunch will be happening at Andilana Beach Resort, somewhere amidst the above plans! In the evening, we’ll indulge in a delectable dinner and unwind in the comfort of the same hotel, reflecting on the day's discoveries and cherishing the magic of Nosy Be. 

Day 10: NOSY BE → TANA

After a delightful exploration of Nosy Be, it’s time to bid farewell and head to the Nosy airport for our flight to Tana. Departing at 07:30, we welcome you back to Tana again at 09:30, where our guide will pick you up!


Upon arrival, you’ll be whisked away to your hotel, ready to recharge before our next adventure. Our first stop is Pierre Pedro Orphanage, a heartwarming visit where we connect with the community and share moments of joy. The drive spans about 20 km, offering you glimpses of Madagascar's vibrant landscapes along the way.

Following our visit, we make our way to Lissy Boutique, a charming emporium where local crafts and treasures await discovery. Explore the array of handmade goods, each telling a story of craftsmanship and tradition—a perfect opportunity to find unique souvenirs to bring back home.

As the day draws to a close, we retreat to the comfort of Radisson Blu or a similar cozy retreat, where we indulge in a delicious dinner and reminisce about the day's experiences. With hearts full of gratitude and memories to treasure, we settle in for a restful overnight stay, getting ready for our trip back home the next day.

Day 11: Home Sweet Home!

On Day 11, we will bring you to the airport, where we say our final goodbyes as you get on your flight for your journey back home. Goodbye from Madagascar, for now!

As the first rays of dawn paint Madagascar's sky in hues of gold, we reluctantly bid farewell to this captivating island that has woven its way into our hearts. North Madagascar has etched itself into the very fabric of our souls, and as we're escorted to the airport, we carry more than just belongings. We carry with us a treasure trove of lessons learned, perspectives gained, and a newfound appreciation for the beauty that exists beyond our everyday lives.
